Soul Essence, a unique tea brand, encapsulates the transformative power of tea in shaping one’s emotional landscape. Born from the philosophy of mindfulness, the project’s motto, “Shape Your Mood”, is an evocative expression of the art of staying present.
The tea blends are crafted into ‘mood collections’ – Joy, Inspiration, Confidence, Energy, and Calmness. Each is designed to stir specific emotions, fostering a deeper bond with the present moment. Accompanying the teas are bespoke brewing instructions and rituals, turning each cup into a personal ceremony.
Soul Essence’s visionary, Maria Luneva, is a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, and tea enthusiast. She began using tea ceremonies in her client sessions, a practice which organically blossomed into this unique brand, bridging the gap between beverage and emotional well-being tool.
Target audience
Tea lovers living in Mexico, who are finding it challenging to source high-quality tea in a predominantly coffee-drinking culture.

Logo concept
Soul Essence revolves around the idea of using tea as a tool to affect one’s mood. The project motto is “Shape Your Mood,” which is derived from the concept of staying present, as Maria believes that tea can help people achieve this state. As she once explained to me, staying present is like sitting atop a mountain and watching clouds – if you aren’t in the moment, you’ll miss the beauty of the ever-changing formations.
With this idea in mind, we came up with the image of a cloud made of tea leaves to symbolize being present.
